Planning permission has recently been granted for external alterations to the former Woolworths store in Montague Street, Worthing, alongside development of the vacant upper floors to create 14 flats at the heart of the town centre, complete with their own amenity spaces.

Emergency repairs were needed to the north nave roof slope at All Saints Church Buncton where three sections of Horsham stone had slipped and were resting on the cast iron gutter.
The quinquennial inspection and report prepared in 2015 at grade I listed Holy Trinity Church, Rudgwick identified a number of areas of stonework requiring repair. Much of the pointing had been carried out in phases of hard cement pointing which had caused damage to the soft sandstone.
Another of our projects has been presented with their Sussex Heritage Trust Award, this time in the Small Scale Residential category, in recognition of the sensitive conservation and internal alterations.
Chairman of the Sussex Heritage Trust, Simon Knight, visited West Dean College on Monday 7 December 2020 to present CEO Alex Barron and the team with their Public & Community Award, in recognition of the work involving extensive conservation and repair of the roof to the House.
We won two Awards at this year’s Sussex Heritage Trust Awards held on 25 November, with a third project being Highly Commended. The Sussex Heritage Trust was established in 1977 as a charity ‘to preserve, improve and encourage the appreciation of the architectural and natural heritage of Sussex’.
Following a planning committee meeting on 29 September, lasting late into the evening, we are delighted to have received permission on behalf of the parish of St Margaret’s Church, Ifield, Crawley, West Sussex for the demolition of the existing single storey annexe and new build of a two storey extension to the church hall.
Congratulations to the team at St Mary’s, Portsea for securing a £764,000 grant from the National Lottery Heritage Fund towards the conservation repair of their unique 1889 JW Walker and Sons pipe organ.
