Following an appeal inquiry, we were delighted to have planning permission granted for the erection of a contemporary farm worker’s dwelling and farm office within the SDNP.
In March 2020, we secured listed building consent for the owner of Magnolia House, a grade II listed town house in Havant, for conservation repair of the roofs and ground floor structure as well as internal alterations, that have now been successfully implemented.
Planning permission has recently been granted for external alterations to the former Woolworths store in Montague Street, Worthing, alongside development of the vacant upper floors to create 14 flats at the heart of the town centre, complete with their own amenity spaces.
Working with Batcheller Monkhouse, we have assisted with the development of a scheme for two new barns within the South Downs National Park. One replaces a current structure and the second is located on a new site, providing accommodation for calves.
This stunning rose made from scrap metal including fridges and ovens, the creation of landscape gardener Jamie Cullimore, will soon be installed as the centre piece of the water feature in the newly developed courtyard garden of The Rowans Hospice.
We won two Awards at this year’s Sussex Heritage Trust Awards held on 25 November, with a third project being Highly Commended. The Sussex Heritage Trust was established in 1977 as a charity ‘to preserve, improve and encourage the appreciation of the architectural and natural heritage of Sussex’.
Magnolia House is a locally significant three-story town house that dates from the 18th century. Listed grade II, it is located within the St Faiths Conservation Area.
We worked closely with the client and local authority to secure successful planning and listed building consents for additions and alterations to the grade II Lurgashall village shop and adjacent house.
The White Horse Inn, Sutton was a winner in the commercial category at the recent Sussex Heritage Trust awards held at Pangdean Old Barn, Pyecombe. This was a project to conserve, repair, refurbish and develop an historic listed country inn to secure a long-term future for this community asset.
